Economics Development (Ecdev) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. Our archiving policy is designed to safeguard the scholarly work of our authors and to provide continuous access to their research.

Digital Archiving

  1. Institutional Repositories: All articles published in Economics Development (Ecdev) are archived in institutional repositories that ensure long-term digital preservation. This includes the digital repository of the journal's host institution.

  2. PKP Preservation Network (PN): The journal utilizes the PKP Preservation Network for additional digital archiving. The PKP PN provides free preservation services for any OJS journal that meets a few basic criteria.

  3. LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): We employ the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and institutions. This system ensures that a secure and permanent archive of the journal is maintained.

  4. CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): We also participate in CLOCKSS, which provides a dark archive and ensures content is available in the event the journal is no longer published.

  5. National Library: Articles are archived in the national library's repository to meet national preservation requirements and ensure accessibility to a wider audience.

Self-Archiving

Authors are encouraged to deposit their published articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, and other relevant archives. Economics Development (Ecdev) supports and permits the following:

  1. Preprint Version: Authors can archive preprint versions of their manuscripts (version before peer review) on preprint servers or personal websites.
  2. Postprint Version: Authors can archive postprint versions (final peer-reviewed version) in institutional repositories or personal websites immediately after publication.
  3. Published Version: Authors can archive the publisher's PDF version of their articles on personal websites, institutional repositories, or other open access repositories.

Permanent Identifiers

Each article published in Economics Development (Ecdev) is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), ensuring a permanent link to its online location. This unique identifier ensures that even if the URL changes, the article can always be found through its DOI.

Policy Review and Updates

Economics Development (Ecdev) regularly reviews its archiving policy to adapt to new technologies and standards in digital preservation. We are committed to ensuring that the research we publish remains accessible and preserved for future generations.
