Archiving Policy

Education Development (Eddev) is committed to ensuring the preservation and accessibility of all published content. Our archiving policy is designed to secure the long-term availability and integrity of scholarly articles.

Digital Archiving

  1. Institutional Repositories: All published articles are archived in our institutional repository [name of repository], ensuring perpetual access and preservation.

  2. PKP Preservation Network (PN): We participate in the PKP PN, an initiative that provides free preservation services to ensure continuous availability of our content.

  3. LOCKSS and CLOCKSS: Articles published in Education Development (Eddev) are archived through both LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) systems. These initiatives create distributed archives to safeguard content in case of system failures or disruptions.

  4. National Library: A copy of each published article is deposited in the [Country's National Library] digital archive to comply with national archiving policies and ensure broad accessibility.

Self-Archiving

Authors are encouraged to self-archive the final accepted version (post-print) of their articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, or other platforms after an embargo period of 12 months following publication. This policy supports wider dissemination of research while maintaining the integrity of the journal’s version of record.

Permanent Identifiers

Each article published in Education Development (Eddev) is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) upon publication. DOIs provide a persistent link to the definitive version of the article on our website and are registered with CrossRef to ensure reliable citation tracking and linking.

Policy Review

Education Development (Eddev) periodically reviews and updates its archiving policy to align with best practices in digital preservation and ensure compliance with emerging standards and guidelines.
